Throughout its long and distinguished history, the University has developed

including Irish Studies, Child and Family Research, Film and Digital Media,
Human Rights, Biomedical Engineering, Semantic Web Technology,
Environmental and Marine Science.
As a result, today NUI Galway attracts leading academics from around
the world, whose expertise helps ensure that our teaching and research
programmes continue to respond to the ever changing needs of students,
employers and the wider society.
There are currently over 23,000 students enrolled across the five Colleges of the University, over
20% of whom are international students:
